Jupiter Equestrian Center - Company Message

Forms and Policies

Please feel free to download our forms and fill them out before your arrival.

All riders must have a waiver signed (must be signed by a parent for minors).  Anyone else spending time in the barn for whatever reason must also have a waiver signed.

Campers must have a waiver and a camp registration form signed.  If you are attending a show, you need to fill out a membership form for the first show only--all shows need a class form.  You must have a horse lease form filled out if you are leasing.

Payment Policies

Your credit card number is sufficient to hold your ride or event time/date.

Full payment is due at the beginning of the ride, first day of camp, or first day of month for lease or boarding.  Payment is due 2 weeks in advance for shows or other events.  Birthday parties and other special events require a 50% deposit at time of booking.

Our policy for shows:  Since we have reserved a show horse exclusively for your use in your classes at each show, trained, groomed and trailered the horse, and provided a trainer to be available at the show, SHOW FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. SHOW FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO EACH SHOW.

Rider requirements:

  • For Trail Rides off property, riders must be at least 7 years of age, unless the rider has prior equestrian experience--young or timid riders may be ponied at the Trailmaster's discretion.
  • Riders who remain on property for lessons, camp, or birthday parties must be at least 4 years of age.
  • Riders may not weigh over 240 lbs.
  • Riders should be attired in long pants and closed-toed shoes.
  • ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR AN APPROVED HELMET--we have many helmets available for your use free of charge.

General Policies:

Jupiter Equestrian Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities.

Our prices reflect the upscale and unique nature of the services we provide.  It is expensive and labor intensive to feed and maintain horses, trailers and trucks in this area of South Florida. We provide you a top-notch riding experience, and we are proud of the services we provide!

Riding may be scheduled in the morning or the afternoon. You must call ahead to schedule and/or inquire about availability. The earlier you call to secure your ride time and date, the better.

We are available for riding programs every day, including all major holidays, EXCEPT MONDAYS (during camp weeks, our day off changes to Sunday.  Some Sundays we will be away at horse shows, so book early and call ahead for availability).

Our horses deserve a day of rest, and we do too!  However, you may call ahead to see if a trail ride can be made available on an off day--if we have horses who are rested and fresh, we may be able to book your ride.

Late arrivals, late cancels and no shows will be charged full price, and the cost is non-refundable and non-transferable to a rescheduled time. This includes last-minute decisions not to ride!!!

Your telephone call is important!  If I cannot immediately answer your call, please leave a brief message with your name/phone number and I will return your call as quickly as possible.

DISCLAIMER

This is a "ride at your own risk" activity.  You are required to sign a liability waiver before mounting up.  Those in your party who are not riding but who are spending time in the barn and around animals, must also have a signed waiver on file.  I have done everything within my power to ensure your safety (all tack is in good working order, horses are trained and experienced, helmets are provided), however, I cannot control or guarantee your riding ability, nature, or the weather.  Florida is a "no liability" state, meaning that an equestrian professional cannot be held liable for any injuries sustained while taking part in an equestrian activity.  The Florida Statute reads specifically as follows:

Florida Equine Activity Statute
TITLE XLV TORTS
CHAPTER 773 EQUINE ACTIVITIES
773.01 Definitions.

As used in §§ 773.01-773.05:

Under Florida law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
